PICKENS, SC - June 8 - E. N. McJunkin, Sr., 92, died at his residence at the Oolenoy section Thursday at 12:35 a.m. after a short illness. He was a pioneer resident of Pickens County and was a member of the Oolenoy Baptist church for 74 years. He was active in church work as long as health permitted. Mr. McJunkin was a son of the late Robert and Rosa Cassell Mcjunkin.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sally Banks McJunkin; and six sons, Iler D. McJunkin, Elbert N. McJunkin, Jr., Hubert McJunkin, Julius E. McJunkin, and H. Eugene McJunkin, all of Pickens, and E. Wyatt McJunkin of Greenwood; two daughters, Mrs. S. J. Gardner and Mrs. Sybil Eskew, both of Greenville.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Oolenoy Baptist church Sunday at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Raymond Tucker, Dr. J. Dean Crain, the Rev. F. S. Childress and Dr. S. H. Jones. Pallbearers will be the following grandsons: Dean McJunkin, Guy McJunkin, J. C. McJunkin, Fulton McJunkin, Sam Gardner, Jr., Guy Moss, Weldon Parsons and Perry Rampey.

The honorary escort will be composed of the deacons of Oolenoy and Griffin Baptist Churches and W. E. Finley, H. L. Bivens, Harold Holder, A. B. Cantrell, Dr. J. L. Valley, L. A. Cantrell, J. R. Keith, and Arthur Jones.

The body is at the residence and will be taken to the church Sunday at 3 p.m. to remain until the hour of service.
