MRS. MCJUNKIN IS DEAD AT 91
PICKENS, SC - Mrs. Sallie Banks McJunkin, 91, of the Oolenoy section of Pickens County died in a Pickens hospital at 12:45 p.m. Sunday after an illness of four weeks.
She was the daughter of the late John Henry and Mary Hayes Banks. Her husband, E. N. McJunkin, died in 1951. She was a member of Oolenoy Baptist Church for 71 years and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. S. J. Gardner and Mrs. R. T. Eskew of Greenville; six sons, I. D., E. N., J. E. and H. E. McJunkin of Greenwood; 44 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 4 p.m. at Oolenoy Baptist Church by Rev. T. A. Sims, Dr. S. Jones and Rev. E. D. Freeman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dean, Guy, J. C., Fulton and Harold McJunkin and Sam Gardner Jr.
Honorary escort will be the deacons and WMS of Oolenoy and Griffin Baptist Churches.
The body is at Clayton-Dillard Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Monday.
