Will-I, Henry Dick, of the City of Reading, County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say, is of such estate as it both pleased God to intrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows, viz:

I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Mary A. Dick, all right, title and interest in the Farmers' Market House and the stable connected therewith situated on Penn street, and on Cherry street, between Eighth and Ninth streets, in the city of Reading, during her natural life and while she bears my name, she to have the use and income thereof, and after her decease, I give, devise and bequeath the same to my children in equal shares.

I also give, devise and bequeath, my house No. 106 South Ninth street and also my house No. 128 North Tenth street, to my said wife, Mary, for and during the term of her natural life, and she to have the use and income thereof, and after her decease, I give and devise the said houses to my children in equal shares.

Item-I give and bequeath to my said wife, Mary A. Dick, all my household furniture in house No. 106 South 9th street, Reading, to be hers absolutely.
Item-I give and bequeath, all my other personal property, whatever and whereever, the same my be at the time of my decease, to my said wife, Mary A. Dick, and to my children, share and share alike absolutely, And I do herein constitute and appoint my said wife, Mary A. Dick, and my sons, Charles K. Dick and Franklin K. Dick to be the Executors of this my Last Will and Testament.

In witness wherefore, I Henry Dick, the Testator, have to this my last will set my hand and seal this twentieth day of May AD one thousand nine hundred and one.

Henry D. Dick, for many years superintendent of the Farmer's market house, Penn street above Eighth, died yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock of bowel obstruction, aged 56 years. He leaves a wife and three sons, Charles, Frank and Harry. These brothers and sisters survive: Marcus D., Seyfert's; Mrs. Albert Wentzel, Baumstown; William D, Youngstown, Ill.; Eli D., Albert D., Annie and Lizzie Dick, Reading. He was a member of the First Reformed Church.

Henry D. Dick, aged 58 years died at his home, 106 South 9th, at 3:25 p.m., Tuesday. He was ailing for some time, but was only bedfast since last Friday. The cause of his death was due to obstruction of the bowels.
He was a son of the late Nicholas Dick, and is survived by his mother, his widow, Mary A., (nee Kissinger) and three sons, Charles K., Franklin K., and Harry K. Dick, and the following brothers and sisters, Marcus D., of Seyfert's; William D., of Williamsport, Ind; Mrs. A. F. Wentzel, of Baumstown; Annie, Eli, Lizzie and Albert, of this city. He was part owner of the Farmers' market for the past 27 years, and was well known among the farmers and others attending there. He was a member of the First Reformed Church, and was a kind and affectionate husband and father.

The funeral of Henry, son of Esther and the late Nicholas Dick, took place from his residence, 106 South 9th, at 1 p.m. Rev. Dr. Mosser, assisted by Rev. Z. H. Gable, conducted services. A quartet led by Prof. F. C. Moyer, sang a number of hymns at the house and grave. Many friends passed through the parlor of his home and took a last look at the remains, which lay in a black cloth covered, full copper-lined, square-cornered cedar casket, with gold extension bar handles, gold trimmings and a plate bearing the inscription, "Henry Dick, died May 21, 1901, aged 56 years and 27 days," and were attired in a black silk robe. Relatives and friends were in attendance from Boyertown, Blandon, Friendensburg, Baumstown, Birdsboro, Oley, Phila., and other places. John B. Schultz, Benjamin Fox, David Snyder, Irwin Miller, James B. Baker, and Mr. Bush. Among the tributes were: Spray of carnations, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hertwig; spray of roses, Brother, Eli and Sister, Lizzie; wreath, A. N. Kissinger and wife; carnations, Brother Albert; spray of yellow roses, son Charles and wife; roses and sheaf of wheat, mother; roses, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Baker; spray of carnations, niece, Emma; pillow, on pedestal, bearing inscription, "Too Soon" widow; anchor on pedestal, Sister Annie; design standing three feet high, son, Harry; harp, son, Frank and wife; wreath, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Troop and daughter; lilies of the valley, cousin, Amanda Schweitzer; spray of rose, Miss Mary Dick; carnations, Mr. and Mrs. John Raudenbush. Interment at Schwarzwald Cemetery. Funeral director F. F. Seidel.
