Born on St. Patrick's Day 1925 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jennie Josephine Graziano was the daughter of Giovanni (John) and Maria Graziano and their eighth child. For some reason, Jennie was the second daughter of John and Maria to be called Jennie/Jenny. (The first daughter to be so named, Vincenza "Jenny" Graziano, passed away at only 8 months of age in 1916.)

Jennie was baptized at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis on July 16, 1925; her Godparents were Angelo Battaglia and Catherine Favorite. There are no known photographs of Jennie Josephine.

Baby Jennie sadly died at only seven months and three days of age; her death certificate indicates the cause of death was enterocolitis. Jennie was preceded in death by brother Vincenzo and sister Vincenza. Left to cherish the memory of little Jennie were her parents, a sister, and four brothers.

Jennie was buried at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Minneapolis in what was referred to as "the children's section." Jennie's grave did not have a marker for more than 50 years. In the late 1970s, Jennie's surviving siblings pitched in to finally provide a marker for her grave, which they then came to visit often, to clean and leave flowers. Jennie's grave marker includes the inscription, "Our Sister," along with an engraved angel, and is flush with the ground. Rest in heavenly peace, Jennie.

Notes: Jennie's handwritten birth certificate incorrectly indicates her mother's "full maiden name" as "Mary Zuccero," but "Maria Zuccaro" is correct. Jennie's death certificate is only 50% correct on her mother's maiden name: Mary Zuccaro. (Perhaps an Italian-to-English language barrier resulted in the misspellings and inaccurate translation.)

After the sad passing of two baby daughters called Jenny/Jennie, the family was collectively adamant that John and Maria should not name any future daughters Jenny/Jennie, and they did not.
