Vincenzo was the first-born child of Giovanni (John) Graziano and Maria (nee Zuccaro) Graziano's 10 children. Baby Vincenzo, called "Vincent," was named after his paternal grandfather, Vincenzo Graziano (12/8/1845 - 8/16/1915).

Vincenzo was conceived either during John and Maria's first month of marriage in Termini Imerese, Sicily, Italy or during the two-week journey as they sailed to North America and settled in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Sadly, baby Vincent died at only four months of age in Toronto, where his family lived at the time. There are no known photographs of little Vincenzo.

Cemetery records indicate Vincent died on February 26, 1911, and he was laid to rest in a single grave the next day, February 27, 1911, at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery in Toronto. Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery archives further indicate Vincenzo's cause of death was broncho pneumonia.

May young Vincenzo rest in heaven surrounded by the love and warmth of his many loved ones. May you rest in heavenly peace, Vincenzo.

Many, many thanks to Missing*U*Always ~ Loving*U*Forever for honoring baby Vincenzo by sponsoring his Find a Grave memorial and for locating his previously unknown day of birth in Toronto birth records. (We previously only knew Vincenzo's birth month and year.) Your random act of kindnesses and generosity are greatly appreciated!

Inscription

Unfortunately, no grave marker was found during four different search attempts (by two different cemetery staff members, a foreman and a service counsellor) in August 2022.

Since these recent grave marker searches occurred more than 111 years after Vincenzo's burial, the inscription could have worn off the marker, the marker may have sunk into the soil over time, the marker may have been damaged and removed, lost to time and the elements, or any number of possibilities. Cemetery staff, however, did confirm that the plot information for baby Vincenzo's final resting place at Mount Hope Cemetery is indeed correct as listed in this online memorial (Section 6, Grave 42, Range A), even with no visible marker in 2022.

Gravesite Details

Cemetery archives don't note whether a marker was originally set on Vincenzo's grave; records weren't well kept back then. Mount Hope staff thoroughly searched the grave area multiple times in Aug. 2022 and didn't find a marker for little Vincenzo.
