Lloyd E. Landon, Sr., 80, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, died Friday, August 12, 1983, at Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Stinson Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Reverend Michael Scott of the West Side Tabernacle officiating. Burial will be at the Chippewa Township Cemetery in Isabella County. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
Memorials to the Isabella County Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Mt. Landon was born May 15, 1903, in Isabella County, the oldest child of Charles and Lula (Chivington) Landon. He married Luceille Neal on September 6, 1924, in Alma (Gratiot County), Michigan.
A lifelong resident of the area, Mr. Landon worked for the Isabella County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy Sheriff until his retirement in 1968.
Mr. Landon is survived by his wife, Luceille, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; two sons, Lloyd Jr., of Mt. Pleasant and Jonathan "Rick" of Peru, Indiana; four daughters, Mrs. John (Ilene) Kaweicki of Midland, Michigan, Jeanine Ewald, of Flint, Michigan. Also surviving him are Barbara Zelesket, of Alto, Michigan and Mrs. Jack (Mary) Mars of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and two brothers, Cecil and Willis both of Mt. Pleasant and one sister, Mrs. Carl (Ila) Eisenberger of Shepherd, Michigan, 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Landon was preceded in death by one son, Stanley, in 1962, as well as his parents.
