She was the daughter of Nathan and Olive VanBibber Boone, and granddaughter of Daniel Boone. She married Philip Lee Anthony, a descendant of the Lee family of Virginia, c.1830. They had two sons and one daughter, with whom Olive likely died in childbirth. She died at the home of her father-in-law, James Crenshaw Anthony. Sometime after her death, her children went to live with their grandmother, Mary Jaqueline Smith Lee Anthony, in Lauderdale County, Tennessee.
