Levica was the daughter of Olive Van Bibber and Nathan Boone. She moved from Femme Osage Valley, St Charles, Missouri to Ash Grove with her family in 1837 at the age of nineteen. Three years later she married William Cawlfield in Ash Grove. Together they had eight children. They lost their first born, Daniel Boone Cawlfield, at age of four years. Levica passed away in 1854 at the age of thirty-six, eight months after her husband's death and shorty after the birth of their eighth child. The couple's seven surviving children including their infant son were taken in by family members.
