Services for Mrs. Gwendalyn R. Combs of Peoria, 58, were held in Habecker Mortuary with Rev. Lloyd Barnard officiating. Burial was in Princeville Cemetery.
Mrs. Combs, a secretary at Great Central Insurance Co., Peoria died April 29 in the Methodist Hospital in Peoria, where she had been a patient since March 7.
She was born in Elgin November 14, 1912, a daughter of Dr. Earl Edmund and Mrs. Lucille Richey Henson. She was married in Princeville April 10, 1935, to Russell Combs, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Anthony Combs and two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Gail) Casey and Miss Roxanne Combs, all of Washington, a grandson; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Bliss of Princeville; and her stepmother, Mrs. Florence Henson of Peoria.
Mrs. Combs was a member of Washington American Legion Auxiliary 100, Peoria Heights VFW Auxiliary and the Princeville Methodist Church.
