She married William H. Preston on June 21, 1876 in Limestone County, Alabama and they had 3 children, Mary, Sallie A. and William Lee Jessie Preston. Along with Elizabeth, Wallace Cemetery is the resting place for her sister, Sallie Pauline Moyers Rector and her husband Jessie Rector and sister, Nancy K "Nannie K" Moyers Baker. Nancy's husband, Henry H. Baker is buried next to his first wife Martha C Moon Baker in Ripley Cemetery. Also buried in Ripley Cemetery is William Preston, Elizabeth's husband and his second wife Rosie Webb Preston.
