Bettye was the oldest of eight children of Jane and George Tollett. She is survived by sons, Dr. James O (Trish) Hill of Birmingham, AL, Benny (Libby) Hill, Ronny (Rachel) Hill and Steve (Jamie) Hill, all of Crossville; grandchildren, Alex and Michael (Madeline) Hill, Eli (Karla) Hill, Lindsay, Nicholas and Eric Hill, Parker and Peyten Hill; great-grandchildren, Oaklee Hill and Sawyer Hale. Survivors also include brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles (Jane) Tollett of Crossville and Dan (Paula) Tollett of Hendersonville, TN, Bobbie Tollett and Louise Tollett, both of Crossville; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Bettye was well known for her love of children and started Jack and Jill preschool which spanned over 40 years serving many generations of families in the Crossville area.
Burial will be in the Tollett Cemetery in the Sequatchie Valley with a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
