She was born on July 26th 1915 in Fort Edward, N.Y., she was the daughter of Pasquale and Marie (Corsall) Catone.
Chris was the Owner of Bill's Grill on East Street, Fort Edward, N.Y. for over 31 years.
She was past president and secretary-treasurer of Washington County Hotel and Restaurant Association. Past president and community service chairman of Hudson Falls-Fort Edward AARP as well as a member of the Board of Directors and chairperson of the NYS Attorney General's Washington County Fair Service Booth.
She was a member of the Fort Edward Historical Society and the Friday morning bowling league at Fort Edward Bowl.
She was a communicant of the St. Joseph's Church in Fort Edward, N.Y. where she was an Eucharistic Minister at Glens Fails Hospital, as well as a member of numerous church committees. Chris was part Regent and a charter member of the CDA Court Morrissary 1477.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband; Alton R. Murray, two sisters; Mary Warren and Madeline Munoff, and five brothers; Henry, Patsy, Diamond, Joseph, and Anthony Catone.
Survivors include one son, one daughter, one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three brothers; Nicholas Catone and his wife June of South Glens Falls, N.Y., Sylvester Catone of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and Angelo Catone of Fort Edward, N.Y., two sisters; Lillian Rabine of West Fort Ann, N.Y. and Rose Doherty of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., a brother-in-law; Fenton (Pat) Murray and his wife; Mary of Fort Edward, N.Y., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
