Services for Minnie Laura Arrington Herbert, 86, of Carrollton, who died of heart failure, Monday, May 29, 2006, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carrollton Baptist Church.
Mrs. Herbert was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church. She was a member of the WMU and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Leon Herbert Sr.; her parents, Benjamin Mayhew Arrington and Maude Maybell Pate Arrington; a son, David Lee Herbert and a granddaughter, Lauriann Herbert.
Mrs. Herbert is survived by daughters, Anne Whitfield and her husband, Mike, of Winona, Joyce Bowman of Grenada, Janie Clayton of Carrollton; son, Cecil L. Herbert Jr. of Carrollton; sisters, Mayfred Shackelford of North Carrollton and Mary Alice Grafton of Memphis, Tenn.
The Rev. George Smith will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Lee Funeral Home in Winona.
Pallbearers will be Shane Whitfield, Matt Whitfield, Dan Bowman, Rainey Bowman, Dave Herbert and Lee Herbert.
Visitation is 5 until 7 p.m. today at Lee Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Carrollton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 5, Carrollton, MS 38917.
