Mrs. Dorothy Jean Morgan, 69, died suddenly Tuesday (October 19, 2021) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County and a daughter to the late David Miller Morgan and Nora Vae Sills Morgan.

She was a former employee of Baptist Village Retirement Communities and retired from Ware State Prison.

She is survived by her son, Lamar Dukes (wife Michelle) of Waycross;
two granddaughters,
Morgan Hendricks (husband Johnnie) of Waycross and Logan Dukes of Pearson;
a grandson, Devin Radford of Waycross;
one great grandson, Braylen Justiss of Pearson;

a sister, Agnes "Cassie" Copeland of Waycross;
and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday (October 23, 2021) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Friday evening at Music Funeral Home from 6 until 8 o'clock.
