Mrs. Nora Vae Sills Morgan, 82, died Wednesday (January 22, 2003) night at Satilla Regional Medical Center following a short illness.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. She was married to the late David Miller Morgan, Sr. for more than 50 years and was a daughter of the late Dave Sills and Ola Yawn Sills. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John David Sills; and three grandchildren, Phillip Morgan, Allen Davis Nelson and David Copeland.
Mrs. Morgan was a member of Hargraves Chapel Church.
The survivors include three daughters, Cassie Copeland Sikes (husband Jerry), and Dorothy Puckett (husband Jody) both of Waycross, Linda Nelson (husband Jimleigh) of Blackshear; four sons, Talmadge Morgan (wife Carolyn) of Waycross, Bobby Morgan (wife Geraldine) of Manor, Larry Morgan (wife Linda) and David M. Morgan, Jr. (wife Lynn) both of Millwood; a godchild, Mike Ryan of Waycross; a daughter-in-law, Corrine Morgan of Waycross; a sister-in-law, Dicie Sills of Dixie Union; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 11 step- great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Indian Mound Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hargraves Chapel Cemetery. The body will be carried to the church at 4:00 p.m. Friday and the family will be receiving friends at the church until funeral time.
