Robert “Larry” Morgan Sr., 72, died Sunday night (Jan. 27, 2019) at Memorial Health in Jacksonville, Fla. after an extended illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Millwood.
He was a self-employed machinist who owned and operated Morgan Logging, Morgan Welding and Morgan Mechanics.
He attended Indian Mound Baptist Church and Hargraves Chapel.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David Miller Morgan and Nora Vae Sills Morgan,
one sister, Linda Nelson, and three brothers, Talmadge, Bobby and Junior Morgan.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Linda LaFe Morgan, of Millwood;
three children,
Robert Larry Morgan, Jr. (Melissa) of Millwood,
Buffi Smith (J.V.) of Millwood and
Teri Walker (Ray Scott) of Axson;
a special cat, Fluffy;
(six grandchildren,)
John and Trent Morgan, Buddy and Jacob Smith, Rocky and Christa Walker;
(two sisters),
Agnes “Cassie” Copeland (Jerry Sikes) and
Dorothy Dukes Morgan both of Waycross;
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Music Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. following burial into Hargraves Chapel Cemetery in Millwood.
The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
