"Dema" was the daughter of Wells Fones & Laura Blakeslee Palmer, the youngest of her family, her father having been 64 years old when she was born. Prior to marriage she was a rural school teacher in Lawrence County [graduate of the class of 1917]. The 1920 US Census lists her living with her half-sister Nellie Lipe. Her brother George was a Station Master for the FRISCO railroad and thus came into contact with the Weddle family at the Todd, Oklahoma train station. Ultimately resulting in Dema's engagement to Curtis.
Her neighbors, from HARVARD ST., Edgar & Grace Stoner, are buried three rows East.
