Curtis was the son of Hiram & Lula Weddle. He is buried with his wife Loudema, sons Carroll, "Keith" & Vernon and grandson Guy. Family friend [Harley Stoner] is buried next to "Keith". His second son Curtis Jr. is buried in Oklahoma. He is survived by his daughter, Virginia ["Gin"] Trowbridge.

At the time of his marriage he worked as a bridge painter for the SANTA FE RAILROAD in California. After his mother died he came back to Oklahoma to work the family farm with his brothers Owen & Ray. Eventually, his brothers left to work for CONOCO in Ponca City and he and Dema ultimately went to Kansas City. Initially, he worked for the FORD MOTOR COMPANY and later for the FISHER BODY division of General Motors from 1929 until his retirement in 1964. He was a WWI Army veteran.
