Carroll was the third son of Curtis & Loudema Weddle. He is buried in the same row as his parents and two brothers. Carroll was a US Marine and an Eagle Scout both of which he was rightly proud. He and his first wife Dorothy had four children: David, Norman, Mathew & Paula. He was married three times. Carroll retired from the Lake City Army Ammunition plant. He shared his middle name [Fenton] with his Uncle Ray and Grandfather Hiram.
