Brenda Rhnea Thomas passed away on September 28, 2021 at the Carnegie Hospital. She was born on May 16, 1960 to Varney Thomas and Doreta Mae (Powers) Lawrence in Oklahoma City, Ok.

She grew up in Carnegie and attended Carnegie School, she spent most of her life living in Carnegie. On Oct 13, 1984 she married Huebert Earl "Buddy" Thomas and they had two children Amanda and James Richard "JR".

Brenda loved gardening and worked for Walmart at Tri-City for several years in their garden section until her health forced her to retire. She loved flowers especially Sun Flowers. She liked sewing, crafting, Lighthouses, the beach and playing games on her computer with her younger cousins. She loved to go eat Fish every Friday night with her friend Rhonda Agnew. She spent lots of time with her neighbor Vickie who lives in the same Apartment complex. She enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren and she had special nick names for each of them, Valoncia-"My Heart", Kason-"Toad", Zianne-"Tator" and Marlee-"Tiger". She had a beautiful heart and loved helping people, she was always doing something for someone other than herself.

Brenda attended the Shared Life Fellowship group that meets at the Christian Church in Carnegie and she volunteered at the Eakly Food Bank for Several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Varney Thomas Lawrence and Doreta Mae (Powers) Lawrence Gooday, brothers, Claude Rufus Lawrence, Bill Howard Lawrence, Johnny Franklin Lawrence, Varney Allin Lawrence, Varney Ray Lawrence, Dale Richard Lawrence and James Edgar Lawrence, Sister, Baby Girl Lawrence, Corene Alene Adkins, Ollie Agnes Goolsby, Edna Mae Wood, Ruby Irene Powers, and Mary Willadean Kinter.
She is survived by her daughter Amanda Mae Skaggs and Mark Bell, of Eakly, Ok.
Son James Richard (JR) Thomas of Carnegie, Ok.

Grandchildren Valoncia, Kason, and Zianne Skaggs of Eakly, Ok and Marlee Thomas of Carnegie, Ok
Brother Carlin Gene Lawrence and wife Sandra of Carnegie, Ok

Sisters Doris Louise Butler, Mountain View, Ok, Ruth Ann Farrelly and husband Jack of Lawton, Ok, Alice Faye Mills and husband Randy of Tuttle, Ok

Sister-in-Law Donna Lawrence of Eakly, Ok

Numerous nieces and nephews and friends will be missing her always
