Allin Lawrence, 58, of Eakly, Oklahoma was born September 20, 1944 East of Carnegie, Oklahoma to Varney Thomas and Doreta Mae Powers Lawrence. He passed away Thursday July 31, 2003 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Allin grew up in Carnegie, Oklahoma and graduated from Carnegie High School in 1962. He moved to Wichita Falls, Texas and worked for Tasty Bread Bakery. He later moved back to Carnegie and he went to work at Hobart, Oklahoma for Paul Finefrock at the Roosevelt Material Rock Quarry.

He married Donna Joyce Taylor on January 15, 1965 in Wellington, Texas. Three children were born to this union.
Sharla Denise, Allin Jr (AJ) and Lacy Donal

During his lifetime, Allin accomplished many skills in a number of professions. In 1965, at the age of 21, he joined Local Union #627 and became a crane operator for Allied Steel of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma which led him to becoming an iron worker for C.V. Stamper Construction where he built many of the microwave towers that you see across the United States today.

When his daughter, Sharla became school age, Allin and Donna came back to the Eakly community and he went to work for Caddo Electric Co-op at Binger, Oklahoma, first working in the office and later as a lineman.

On weekends he enjoyed playing in his band, "Allin and The Drovers". Music was always his first love and he always had a secret desire to pursue that dream, but other talents and obligations kept him from that. He also loved trap shooting and was very good at it. In 1973, Allin completed his commercial pilots license and he and Donna formed A & L Aerial Spraying, Inc. at Eakly, Oklahoma where they served a large area of the state spraying for farmers. In addition, they traveled with their crew and family working for the United States Government on federal contracts in Montana, Wyoming, West Virginia, Illinois, Indiana, New Mexico and Texas spraying rangeland, forest, and cotton for grasshoppers, gypsy moths and boll weevil.

In addition to their spraying business, Allin & Donna operated Lawrence Brothers Powerline Contruction, Rig Power Oilfield Transformer Leasing, Lawrence Trucking and Lawrence Farms. Allin & his son AJ also raised peanuts and wheat in the Eakly area.

Allin & Donna built two farm service facilities in the Eakly and Carnegie communities and leased them to ConAgra Foods to provide chemicals and fertilizer to the area farmers.

They traveled to Prague, Czech Republic in 1994 and became a dealer for the M601 turbo prop jet engine built by the Motorlet Factory. Allin, Donna and their family showed the engine around the country at ag conventions in several states. Allin introduced that engine to the United States and that engine is being installed on many different types of aircraft across America today.

In 1998, Allin and three of his pilots were certified by the BIA for aerial firefighting and fought fires in Eastern Oklahoma near Antlers.

In 2000, Allin was certified by the State of Oklahoma Forestry Service and was awarded a state contract for fire protection for Western Oklahoma. Allin was instrumental in saving the Caddo Electric Co-op building from distruction after the Binger hills caught fire.

He was a member of numerous organizations, Oklahoma Aerial Applicators Association, Texas Aerial Applicators Association, National Agricultural Aviation Association. Allin also served on the board of directors at Caddo Electric Co-op at Binger, Oklahoma from 1984 until his death.

Allin was saved on Father's Day June 14, 2001 and baptized a week later at the Alfalfa Baptist Church where he attended until his death.
