Mrs. Davis died Sept. 29, 2006, in Ivins, Utah.

She was born Aug. 13, 1918, in Salt Lake City, Utah, growing up on Harvard Avenue and graduating from East High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah in 1941. She was a lifetime member of the Delta Gamma Sorority.

She married Newell P. Davis in November 1941.

After two years in San Diego and Santa Ana during World War II, she and her husband moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1947. Together they owned and operated a travel agency for some 25 years and she traveled worldwide. A supportive wife and superb homemaker, she was loved and respected by a friends and neighbors. In addition, she was a contributing member of the Children's Orthopedic Hospital Guild.

Upon their retirement, she moved to Ivins, Utah, where she reunited with friends from her early days in Salt Lake City and made wonderful new friends in the country surroundings of Padre Lakes.

Mrs. Davis is survived by Newell Davis of Heber, Utah, her husband of 64 years; their sons Randall Kent Davis and Richard Newell Davis of Minden, Nev.; and two granddaughters.

She was preceded in her death by her brother Gordon Squires.
