Anna Kruewels died 29 Jul 1899 and was buried 31 Jul 1899 at St. Bernard Cemetery. She was age 52 years, 11 months and 13 days old. The priest who signed the record was P. Heribertus Stotter, OFM.

In census records Anna's husband, "Godfred", spelled his first name several ways - Gotfried, Godfrey, & Fred - and the last name was spelled - Krahals, Kruels, Krowel, Koruwels, Kroewels. He was born in Holland, 1845, and died some time after the 1930 census when he lived with his adopted daughter, Mary Kroewels. His daughter Mary never married and died in Apr 1982, according to the United States Social Security Death Index in Madison County, Nebraska. Her sister, Martha Kroewell Schroeder, is buried in the St. Bernard Cemetery.

Family typed notes from a great great aunt state: "Anna Christina married Martensen and had one son, Paul. Martensen came to America to look for work and planned to send for Anna and Paul but was never heard from. Paul was raised by his grandparents Andrew and Dorathea Petersen (buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, Madison, NE) and Paul went by the name of Paul Petersen. Anna Christina married Fritz Krowel (lived in St. Edward, NE). Anna Christina adopted his two girls Martha and Marie Krowel. Martha married a Schroeder."
