James E. Baker, 79 years old, died at the residence, 437 1/2 North Fourth Street, at 9:05 o'clock Tuesday morning. He is survived by two sons, John and Matt, both of Burnett; one daughter, Mrs. Mamie Cress of Benton Harbor, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Bess Robinson of Sullivan, Mrs. Ella Larrison of Indianapolis and Anna of West Terre Haute; several grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Burnett Methodist Church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. James Kelley officiated and burial will be in Burnett cemetery.
