Mrs. Mary Ann Baker, 60 years old, was found dead at her home in Burnett at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning, by a daughter-in-law who was intending to visit Mrs. Baker for the morning. Coroner E. E. Hoffa held an autopsy in the afternoon and pronounced death due to cancer and peritonitis. The body was taken to the Thomas funeral home and was returned to her son's home Thursday. She is survived by the husband, James Baker; a daughter Mamie Cress, Benton Harbor Mich.; three sons, John, Matt, and Guy; a sister, Tilda Messelles, of Bicknell.; two brothers, William and Matthew Deakins. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the home of her son.
