John O. Baker, 79, RR 51, died at 7pm Monday at his home. He was a retired coal miner. Survivors include the widow, Helen; two daughters, Kathleen Kallis, Terre Haute, and Virginia Purcell, Hillsboro, Ill.; a son, Donald Baker, Terre Haute; a sister, Mayme Cress, Benton Harbor, Mich.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1pm Thursday at the Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. David Dragon officiating. Burial will be in Burnett Cemetery.
