Jim Caldwell was born January 24, 1943, in Independence, to Iva Lorene (Stephens) and Walter C. Caldwell, one of 10 children. He graduated high school in Montgomery County in 1960. His first marriage was to Betty Jenkins Steward. Later, Jim married Susan "Sue" Elliott Jennings on May 19, 1985. Jim owned and operated Caldwell Remodeling & Repair. His family will miss him dearly.
Survivors of Jim Caldwell include: Sue Caldwell, of Independence. Children; Jimmy Caldwell, Johnny Caldwell and Michelle Caldwell, and step-children, Ed Jennings and Kim Krehbiel. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A sister, Mary Hannigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Charles, Carl, Jerry, Pat, Edna Mae, Elva, Emma.and Bob.
