Deceased came to Wisconsin in 1866, where he has ever since resided. He was twice married, first to Dimis Sutton who died in 1867, his second wife being Eliza McKay who survives him.
To the first union were born seven children, of whom two are living. To the second union six children were born, all of whom are living.
Mr. Strickland was a good man respected by all who knew him. The funeral was held from the Methodist church of Darlington Thursday May28, the Rev. I.F. Nuzum officiating.
