HENRY BARNES

Henry F. Barnes, 78, Galena, died at 6:25 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 1985, at his home after a long illness.

Services were held Monday at Derfelt Funeral Home. A eulogy was given by Roy Derfelt with burial in Hill Crest Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Howard Litch, Ralph Anderson, Marion Karr, Bob Murray, David Jones and Earl Vaughn.

Mr. Barnes was born March 1, 1907, in Galena, and was a lifelone area resident.

He was employed as superintendent of the Galena City Warter Works for several years.

He married Hazel B. Murray April 13, 1929 at Joplin, Mo. She died July 16, 1982.

Survivors include two sons Howard Barnes and Bill Barnes, both of Galena; a daughter Mary L. Saunders, Riverton; three brothers, George Barnes and Roy Barnes, both of Bakersfield, Calif., and Glen Barnes, Riverton; two sisters Julie Winters, Paramount, Calif., and Edith Brown, Galena; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
