Obituary from The Times-News (Nephi, UT) - Thursday, March 30, 1950:
LEVAN - William Joseph Worwood, 63, died at the family home Tuesday morning following a three months illness.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Levan Ward LDS Chapel by LeGrand Mangelson, Bishop. Interment will be in Levan Cemetery.
Mr. Worwood was born at Nephi, June 30, 1886, a son of John and Ellen Taylor Worwood. He married Allice Lila Jennings in 1908 at the Manti Temple and has resided in Levan since that time.
For several years he was first counselor in the Levan Elders Quorum Presidency, and served for five years as Levan water master.
Surviving are his widow and seven children: Mrs. Eugene Armstrom, Brigham City; Mrs. Werner E. Novian, Tredricksburg, Texas; Virl, Gay and Karl Worwood, Levan, Edward and Dale Worwood of Nephi; 15 grandchildren; four brothers and one sister: Mrs. Myron Whitely of Emmett, Idaho; Ben and Frank Worwood of Salt Lake City, Elias Worwood of Mona and W. Tracy Worwood of Burley, Idaho.
