Robert Isom "Bob" Hensley was born Friday, May 15, 1891 in Lawrence County, Alabama, to Samuel Elijah "Sam" Hensley and Mary Sue Livingston Hensley.

He married Dona Lou Brown on Saturday, September 4, 1910 in Danville, Lawrence County, Alabama.

The children of Robert and Dona Hensley are Ora Myers, Otto Hensley, Ruby Jenkins and Clarence C. Hensley.

After the death of Dona Hensley, he married Murty Belle Wilborn, a daughter of Benjamin Josh "B. J." Wilborn and Lutie Buford Sterling Wilborn on Tuesday, January 7, 1919 in Morgan County, Alabama.

The children of Robert and Murty Hensley are Kathleen McCaghren, Ozelle Harrison, Effie A. Hensley, James Winford "Buddy" Hensley, Robert Louis Hensley, Lavern Sanford, Waymon Hensley, Foree Porter and Delmar Ray Hensley.

Danville -- Funeral services for R. I. (Bob) Hensley, 77, Danville 3, who died Saturday at his home, were Monday at the Enon Baptist Church, Rev. C. G. Redding and Rev. Jerry Daughtry officiating. Burial was in the Johnson Chapel Cemetery, Peck directing.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Murty Hensley, Danville 3, four sons, Otto Hensley, Delmar Ray Hensley, and Waymon Hensley, all of Danville 3, Clarence Hensley, Hartselle; six daughters, Mrs. Ruby Jenkins, Mt. Dora, Fla., Mrs. Ozelle Harrison, Foree Porter, both of Hartselle, Mrs. Lavern Sanford, Danville 2, Mrs. Kathleen McCaghren, Danville 3, Mrs. Ora Myers, Hartselle 2; a sister, Mrs. Lula Reeves, Hartselle; 29 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons.
