Benjamin Josh Wilborn was born Thursday, May 19, 1881 in Lawrence County, Alabama to Augustus T. "Gus" Welborn and Sarrah Segars Wilborn.

He married Ludie Buford Sterling, a daughter of William A. "Billy" Sterling and Ida May Alexander Sterling on Thursday, December 21, 1899 in Lawrence County, Alabama.

Hartselle -- Josh Wilburn, 83, Hartselle, died at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral services are to be today at 2 p.m. at Johnson Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. John Irwin and Rev. Leroy McClendon officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery, Peck directing.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Murtie Hensley, Danville 1, Mrs. Bertha Nethery, Mrs. Elmer Chenault and Miss Earline Wilburn; four sons, Louis, Gene, Howard and Toby Wilburn, all of Hartselle; four brothers and one sister, 29 grandchildren and 38-grandchildren.

He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

The body was returned to the residence Saturday and will remain there until time for services
