HARTSELLE -- Funeral service for Foree Porter, 83, will be Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church at Danville with Rev. Steve Ledbetter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Her body will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Porter died on Monday, Feb. 22, 2016 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 29, 1933, in Lawrence County to Robert Isom Hensley and Myrtie Belle Wilborn Hensley. She was a lifelong member of Enon Baptist Church and a homemaker. She loved her family and all children not just her own. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Arnold Porter; one son, Terry Porter, Hartselle; five grandchildren, Jason and Cara Porter,
Kevin and Taylor Porter and Diana Porter; and one great-grandchild, Wyatt McNeal
Pallbearers will be Randy Hensley, Keith Hensley, Kim Hensley, Jackie Hensley, Rex Hensley and Mike McCaghren.
