William D. Howard, 85, of Ceres died Tuesday at Doctors Medical Center, Modesto.
Mr. Howard was a native of Texas. He had lived in Ceres since the 1980s. He had previously lived in Hughson since 1932. He owned and operated a peach ranch in Hughson and previously a dairy.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Howard of Ceres; children, Darwin Howard and Charlotte Roberts, both of Ceres; sisters, Edna Howard-Berkely of Colorado and Getta Howard-Heffner of Redding; brothers, Henry Howard and Luneal Howard, both of Turlock, and E.L. Howard of Ceres; and seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
