Jenell Talley
Services for Mrs. Jenell Bankson Talley, 45, 609 Patterson Ave., who was found dead at her home Friday afternoon by a daughter, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Parker Mortuary.
The death was investigated by the Joplin Police department and attributed to natural causes after several months of ill health.
The Rev. Hank Deslatte will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest [Hill Crest] Cemetery, Galena, Kan.
The casket will be closed at all times.
Mrs. Talley was born Oct. 17, 1934, at Galena, Kan. She had lived in Joplin most of her life and attended Central Assembly Christian Life Center. Her husband, Harold (Bud) Talley, died Oct. 9, 1975.
Surviving are two sons, Steven Lansaw, Marshall, and Claude McDowell Jr., the state of Alabama; five daughters. Mrs. Pamela Deslatte, Joplin route 8, Mrs. Victoria Blood, 1910 W. 14th St., Mrs. Terry Elias, 203 N. Joplin Ave., Miss Claudia McDowell, Jonesboro, Ark., and Miss Rhonda
McDowell, 3500 Pearl Ave.; two brothers, Tony Bankson, Buena Park, Calif., and John Bankson, Garden Grove, Calif.; five sisters, Mrs. Phyllis Ashby, Giltner, Neb., Ms. [sic] Grace Bankson, Mrs. Ann Cochran and Mrs. Bernice Cooper, all of Madera, Calif., and Mrs. Mable Miller, Harbor City, Calif., and three grandchildren.
