He took sick April 29th at his home in Hamilton township with appendicitis. He leaves Father, Mother, five sisters, and four brothers.
The previous deaths in the family were sister Addie, wife of Jay McWilliams, who died Feb 7th, 1897, and a brother Asa, aged 1 year and 11 months, who died March 1892.
The funeral sermon was preached by Harrison Hamilton. To be cut off from life's joys when entering them at the stage of manhood is sad, for all wish for happiness and a goodly portion of life on to the decline so that life may end with full usefulness. We extend to the family and friends our sincere condolence.
