Nee Garner∼Mrs. Maude S. Smith, 79, Rollersville, died Saturday (April 2, 1965) at 6 p.m. in the Sandusky County Home. She had been ill three months.
Mrs. Smith, a lifelong resident of the area, was born August 12, 1884 in Wayne, Daughter of the late William and Emma Purcell Garner. She was married to Ben Smith, who died February 21, 1964.
Surviving are sons, Richard, Helena; Herbert, Sun Valley, Calif.; David P., Clyde; Virgil, Vaugnsville, and one daughter, Mrs. Grace Alcorn, Detroit. Surviving also are a step sister, Mrs. Verna McKee, Delta andone step brother, Milton Garner, Wayne. There are 34 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son and one daughter.
Friends may call at the Veh and Son Funeral Home, Gibsonburg. The Rev. James Nuhfer, pastor of Shiloh E.U.B. Church will conduct services in the mortuary Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Bradner.
