Mr. Cammie Lee Coots, age 79, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 22, 2021. Mr. Coots was born in Morgantown, KY on January 16, 1942 to the late Oakley D. Coots, and Ruby Mae Flener. He worked 39 years for LG&E as a maintenance electrician and was a member of Eastern Gate Baptist Church, he loved to fish, hunt, garden and was an amazing wood carver. Among those who preceded him in death are, his siblings, Dorothy Coots Flener, Katheryn Coots Politano, and Jimmy, William, and Jerry Coots. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife , son , daughter , grandson, siblings, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 26, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
