Dorothy Lorraine Coots Flener, 86, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. Dorothy was born on Feb. 12, 1929 in Butler County, Ky. to the late Oakley and Ruby Mae Flener Coots. She was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church, having joined at age 18. Dorothy retired from GE Motors after 35 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son Eddie Royce Flener.

Dorothy is survived by husband of 69 years Earl Flener of Morgantown, 2 sons; Rickey Lee Flener and wife Glenda of Morgantown and Timothy Earl Flener of Louisville, 6 grandchildren, Mechelle B. Flener West and husband Jonathon, April D. Flener and husband James Renfrow, Kurt Patrick Flener and wife Katie, Garet Ryan Flener and wife Lee Ann, Adam Lawrence Flener and wife Kim, Alisha D. Flener and husband Matthew, 9 great grandchildren, Graham West. Makenna Renfrow, Airabella Renfrow, Layton Flener, Weston Flener, Taylor Downs Flener, Kaleigh Flener, Julia Flener, and Warren Flener. She is survived by 7 brothers, Leon Coots and Joyce, Cammie Coots and Ervil, John Coots and Sharon, Jimmy Coots and Victoria, William Coots and Norma Proctor, Jerry Coots and Donna, Victor Coots and Joann, and 7 sisters, Katheryn Polatanio, Chris Davis and Gerald, Gwen Lee, Jean Leake, Kay Dwyer and Buddy, Barbara Whilloughby and Larry, Marsha Flewallen and Ken, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at Aberdeen Baptist Church on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 1 pm. with Bro. Roger Taylor and Bro. Raymond Ward officiating. Burial will be in Aberdeen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 11:00 am-8:00 pm and Friday from 10 at until time of service at Aberdeen Baptist Church. Expressions of sympathy in the form of Gideon Bibles or donations made to Aberdeen Baptist Church in memory of Dorothy Flener.
