Obituary for Ms. Cynthia J. Hamilton

Cynthia J. Hamilton, 64, of Greenwood, passed from this life at 4:15 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at St. Frances Hospital in Indianapolis. Ms. Hamilton was born December 19, 1956, in Columbus, the daughter of Bryan J. and Ruth E. McCallie Hamilton.

Cynthia was a retired counselor at Franklin Township Middle School and a member of Petersville United Methodist Church in Columbus.

Survivors include her sisters, Elaine Worton of Columbus, Maryellen (Rick) Pollitt of Hope and Debbie Garrett of Columbus and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Garry Hamilton and a sister, Sharon Mason.

A private funeral service will be held at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Marcus D. Speer officiating.

A live stream of the funeral service may be viewed at 11:00 a.m. Monday at barkesweaverglick.com

We do ask that visitors follow the social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are required. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
