Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Gibbs, 78, widow of Steve W. Gibbs, were held in the Bouton Memorial Home yesterday with Rev. Robert Bodine, pastor of the First Methodist church of Peoria officiating. She was laid to rest in the Mt. Hawley Cemetery.
Mrs. Gibbs passed away in the home of her son, Guy Gibbs, of Dunlap Sunday evening following a three weeks illness. For many years, Mrs. Gibbs resided in the Dunlap area.
She was born in St. Louis, Mo., December 20, 1875, the daughter of Henry and Louisa Lockmiller, May 16, 1907, in Houston, Mo., she was united in marriage to Mr. Gibbs. He passed away in October 1924.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Viola Pople of Peoria, one son, Guy Gibbs of Dunlap, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Miss Virginia LaDean Tucker of this place (Bradford) and Guy P. Gibbs of Alta, were united in marriage Thursday aftenoon at the M. E. parsonage in Peoria the Rev. Boyd Rudd officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tucker south of town. Her husband is the son of Mrs. Lizzie Gibbs, of Alta.
