DUNLAP -- Leila B. Hoffman Reynolds, 84, of 208 N. Third died at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at her home.

Born March 1, 1917, in Peoria County to Myron Benton and Maude Belle Hayes Bohannan, she married August Frederick Hoffman on June 7, 1937, in Lacon. He died Dec. 22, 1966, in Chillicothe. She then married William F. Reynolds on Feb. 23, 1970, in Peoria. He died Nov. 15, 1991.

She also was preceded in death by five infant children, two brothers, one sister and one great-grandchild.

Surviving are 10 sons, Seward (and Rosemary) Bohannan of Chicago Heights, Frank (and Ruth) Hoffman and Roger ''Lew'' (and Linda) Hoffman, both of East Peoria, Fredrick Alonzo (and Lillian) Hoffman of Toulon, Loren (and Nancy) Hoffman of Chillicothe, Ray (and Judy) Hoffman and August (and Sylvia) Hoffman, both of Dunlap, Nick (and Debbie) Hoffman of Varna, Robert (and Robin) Hoffman of Peoria and Paul (and Dee) Hoffman of Kickapoo; five daughters, Elizabeth Plate of Toulon, May (and Gottfried ''Butch'') Schoenbein of Dunlap, June Smith of Chillicothe, Colaya ''Cookie'' Redell of Peoria and Juanita (and Greg) Murphy of Sparland; 37 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild; five brothers, Elliott Bohannan and Melvin Bohannan, both of Peoria, Alfred Bohannan of Kansas, Marvin Bohannan of Arkansas and Cecil Bohannan of Laura; and one sister, Dorothy Mitchel of Danville.

She worked at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights from 1950 to 1959. She also worked at the Oak Forest Infirmary Hospital for 15 years and at Parkhill Nursing Home in Chillicothe for one year. She also farmed in the Peoria, Dunlap and Princeville areas.
She did volunteer work for the South Side Mission in Peoria.

She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Peoria, Peoria County Farm Bureau and Prospect United Methodist Church in Dunlap.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville. The Rev. Mary Katherine Pearce will officiate.Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery in Dunlap.

Memorials may be made to Akron/Princeville Fire Department or Dunlap Fire Department.
