Mr.Kaney is a native of Langley SC. He is a retired,30 year self-employed contractor and a former 20 year police officer for Aiken County.He was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Cathloic Church. Survivors include his wife Blanche Thompson Kaney seven sons Michael Kaney,Houston TX,Gerald Kaney Modesto,CA, Patrick Kaney Atlanta,Ga.Chris Kaney and Mark "Tank" Kaney both of Aiken,Rack-o (TK) Kaney Aiken. Matthew "Dillon" Kaney Johnson City TN, four daughters,Lydia Kaney Moody Glenville, NC, Marilyn Kaney Mazza,Hermosa Beach,CA, Bernie Kaney Mahfet,Torrance,CA, and Angel Kaney Aiken, and four sisters Lizzie Kaney, Minnie Bilton, Mary Hibbitts, Martha Rutland. Pallbears will be his grandsons: Rory Moody,Michael Moody,Anthony Moody,Gregory Moody,Vincent Mazza Jr,and Kevin Kaney.The Rosary will be recited at 6 pm today at Posey's funeral Home Langley,and the family will receive friends thereafter from 7 to 9 pm.Friends may call at the residence or at the funeral home. Michael Kaney is the son of the late Michael Dennis Sr & Ada Pauline Redd Kaney. He also is preceded in death by seven brothers,Otto Kaney,John Kaney,Dudley Kaney,Melvin Kaney,James Kaney,Joseph Kaney & David Kaney.
