Excerpt -- Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Calvert, 55, were held at the Beatty Church in the Whetsell Settlement Sunday. She died in the Spencer Hospital on Friday, March 21. She was the wife of Chester Calvert, deceased, and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elias W. Whetsell. She was a former Preston County school teacher. She is survived by four children, Robert Calvert, a teacher in the Tunnelton High School, Mary Calvert of Logan, Ercell Calvert of the Whetsell Settlement and Ray Calvert of Rowlesburg. Interment was in the Whetsell Cemetery. (Buried in the Felton Cemetery on the Whetsell farm).
