Funeral services for Sylvine Coatney, 85, Route 1, Rudy, Arkansas were held monday, November 12, 1979 at the Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Earl Gentry and the Rev. Roland Atwell officiating. Burial was in Morrison Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

She was the daughter of Joseph Leander Kimes and Elizabeth Lewis Kimes. He was the wife of William Loransie Dowe Coatney.

Mrs. Coatney, who died November 9, 1979 at a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital, was a member of the New Hope Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Juanita; two sons Ray and William; two sisters, Edith and Mrs. Burrell; five brothers, Herbert, Vincent, Lucas, Newman and Quincy; two half-sisters, Virginia and Bernice; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
