Shawnee resident, Leoh Geneva Pruit Roberts departed this life Saturday, Oct. 6, in a local nursing home, at the age of 92.
She was born June 2, 1915, on a farm in Nolan County, Texas, to Ruth Malinda Lackey Pruit and John Aelick Pruit.
She married Horace Coleman Roberts on June 23, 1934. They were married 72 years and he preceeded her in death in 2005.
Also preceeding her in death were her four brothers, John Andrew, Thurman Dewey, Virgil Lynn, and Joseph Burl Pruit, and one sister, Cora Bell Pruit Hellyer.
Survivors include her three children and their families; Ruby Nell Roberts Collins and husband Blake, their son, Lawrence Blake Collins, and wife, Susan, and their daughter, Caroline; and their daughter, Shawn Camille Collins LeBlanc and husband, Keith. Horace Clendon Roberts and wife, Sue, their son, Scott Evan Roberts and wife, Lori, their daughter Brooke and their son, Chase; their daughter Lisa LaNell Roberts Bussey and son, Riley Bussey. Patty Kay Roberts Armstrong and husband, Jack, their daughters, Rebecca Armstrong and Carrie Armstrong and Carrie's son, Trey, and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Central Churst of Christ with Dwyane Dennis and Robert Prater officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
The Roberts family is grateful to Dr. M. Ahmed, Dr. Keith Conaway, Dr. Mark Davis, The Golden Rule Nursing Home, thier nurses, staff, and Angelic Hospice.
