COMPTON, Jack T.
Jack T. Compton 66, of Gahanna, OH, died Wednesday, September 28 at his residence. Mr. Compton was born March 7, 1929 in Paintsville, KY, a son of Chester and Ruth Turner Compton. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, John, and a sister, Belva Honeycutt. He was an army veteran of the Korean Conflict, retired Aircraft Engineer with over 25 years of service with Rockwell International, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Neoacacia Lodge #595 F&AM and York Chapter #200. The funeral was conducted Saturday, October 1 at Schoedinger-Margarum Funeral Service by Pastor William "Bud" Angus. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Surviving are his wife, Betty Compton; mother Ruth Compton of Paintsville; 2 sons, Jack Compton II of Dublin, OH and Michael Compton of Springfield, OH; a daughter, Carol Ann Fox of Belle Center, OH, and 4 grandchildren. Schoedinger Margarum Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
