Miss Mary Bailey, who was born in Willow Springs on the farm now owned by Mr. Platt Patridge, died on Friday night at her home in Iowa county, and was buried at the Ray cemetery on Sunday, the funeral being held at the home of the Johnson sisters in Willow Springs. Miss Bailey was about 70 years of age, and was the daughter of Joseph Bailey, who went to California in 1849 and died there. Her brother Charles Bailey, was killed at the battle of Arkansas Post in 1862. Her brother Dodge died about twenty years ago in Dakota, and her sister Mrs. William Houston, also died in that state, while her sister, Mrs. William Johnson, died in Willow Springs about twenty years ago. She was the last of the family.
