Died suddenly at her home in the town of Willow Springs on Friday, August 1st, 1890, Mrs. Delia Bailey Johnston, aged 56 years. Deceased was a daughter of the late Joseph Bailey, who settled in the town of Willow Springs in 1828. She was born at the old Bailey homestead in 1834, and always lived in Willow Springs. In 1869 she was married to William Johnston. The fruit of this union was five children, three boys and two girls, all of whom survive her.
The funeral services were held at the P.M. church in Willow Springs on Sunday, August 3rd, and the remains were laid to rest in the Mineral Point cemetery.
