Lonnie Ray Shepherd, 75, of Palestine, died on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Lonnie was born on January 28, 1945, in Missouri, to the late Charles and Rilla Shepherd. His smile and laughter were amazing. He loved fishing, riding fast in cars, and telling jokes.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Shepherd of Colorado, sons, Robert Paul Austill and Lonnie Allen Shepherd both of Forrest City, brothers, Glen Shepherd of Fort Smith, Bud Shepherd Ocoee, Florida, 14 grands and several great grands. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Frederick and Rilla Lucibelle Shepherd, daughter, Charlotte Louise Shepherd, wife, Mary All Shepherd, grandchild, Tori Danielle Tatum, five brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020, at Kernodle Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 24, 2020, at 2 PM at Kernodle Funeral Home with burial in Loughridge Cemetery.
